About The Position

As a Security Officer Credential Verification in Sparrows Point, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support daily site operations through professional presence and clear communication. You will help with routine patrols, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and following established entry and exit protocols.
  • Monitor access points, visitor activity, and/or delivery traffic at an industrial location, helping to deter unauthorized entry and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate communication and emergency response activities when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting maintenance concerns, unsecured areas, and/or other security-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and/or visitor records, and communicate clearly with site personnel regarding policy questions, access requests, and daily operational needs.
