Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
- Monitor entrances and exits, verify identification and credentials, and document visitor, vendor, and contractor access in accordance with post orders and security-related protocols.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas, entry points, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and observe unusual activity.
- Support day-to-day security-related operations by reporting maintenance concerns, monitoring restricted areas, and documenting incidents, observations, and/or suspicious activity in a timely manner.
