Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access procedures, credential checks, and other security-related policies at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization, issue passes as directed, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate site contacts and/or emergency response procedures when needed.
  • Maintain detailed logs and reports related to visitor activity, deliveries, contractor access, and other notable events in accordance with site expectations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, access concerns, and conditions that may require a security-related response.
