About The Position

As a Security Officer Credential Screening in Clarksburg, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor entry points, verify badges and visitor access, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor access points at a technology, media, and telecommunications construction location; verify authorized entry credentials and maintain visitor and contractor access records.
  • Control the flow of personnel, deliveries, and vehicles entering and leaving the location in accordance with established access-control procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, construction areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
