Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support daily operations through visible presence, routine patrols, and strong communication. In this role, you will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering customer service with a caring, agile, and reliable approach grounded in teamwork, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, manage visitor registration, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted and sensitive areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, control points, and perimeter areas, noting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Prepare clear logs and reports related to access activity, incidents, and policy violations, and support daily operations through consistent observation and professional communication.
