As a Security Officer Credential Verification in Dover, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic campus location where you will help manage access control, verify credentials, monitor assigned areas, and assist with routine patrols. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out access control duties, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and report unusual activity or access concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, common areas, and the perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Complete required logs and reports related to access activity, incidents, and other security-related observations.
