About The Position

As a Security Officer Controlled Entry Specialist in Sparrows Point, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document access activity to help support security-related protocols for personnel, vendors, and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting maintenance concerns, unsecured access points, and/or policy violations for follow-up.
• Assist with screening incoming traffic, directing visitors and/or contractors, and communicating site rules to help support orderly operations and help to deter unauthorized access.
