About The Position

As a Security Officer Controlled Access Driver in Ladson, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join Allied Universal as a driving Access Control Officer at a dynamic automotive location, where you will help monitor entry points, verify badges and/or credentials, conduct routine patrols, and support a professional guest experience. In this role, you will help discourage security-related incidents through visibility, communication, and teamwork while bringing integrity, reliability, and a people-first approach to every shift.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following site-specific procedures, managing access control points, verifying credentials, and supporting authorized entry and exit at an automotive location.
  • Monitor entrances, gates, badge activity, deliveries, and visitor traffic to help to deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity according to post instructions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, checking doors, gates, fencing, parking areas, and other assigned areas for security-related concerns.
  • Assist with visitor registration, contractor check-in, and key or access device accountability while maintaining accurate logs, reports, and other required records.
