About The Position

As a Security Officer Control Room Operator in Framingham, Massachusetts, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries including retail and malls. In this dispatch role, you will coordinate communications, monitor activity, and support timely responses to security-related concerns. You will maintain clear records, assist team members and visitors with professional service, and help promote a welcoming environment. The position is full-time and pays $21.50 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls for service to appropriate personnel, maintaining clear communication with site contacts and responding officers.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, radios, and other dispatch systems; document incidents, requests, and follow-up actions in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and support as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and perimeter, as assigned, to help identify and report security-related concerns.
