Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities across an educational campus environment.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with campus contacts and/or local first responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking lots, walkways, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points, check credentials when required, and report unauthorized persons, suspicious activity, maintenance issues, and/or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support campus events, daily operations, and after-hours activities by providing a visible presence, assisting with directions, and helping to deter disruptions through professional interaction and observation.
