About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a cleared, unarmed Security Officer to safeguard personnel, property, and sensitive or classified information. The role involves site-specific security protocols and specialized training associated with the required clearance level, with opportunities for skill development and professional growth. The position is full-time and pays $25.31 per hour. A SECRET clearance is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Department of Defense (DoD) position-appropriate security clearance; the posting specifies a SECRET clearance.
• At least one of the following: three years of security experience on a DoD-cleared site or prior military experience.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Intermediate computer skills to operate client-specific wireless technology.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience.
• Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional security services to safeguard personnel, property, and information.
• Conduct foot, bicycle, or vehicle patrols within and around the facility to protect people, assets, and sensitive or classified information.
• Greet guests and employees, and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points.
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances to the client and/or security personnel through written and oral communication.
• Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms.
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations.
