About The Position

As a Security Officer Clearance Required Roving Patrol in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report suspicious activity and/or policy concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help support compliance with site protocols for restricted or sensitive areas.
  • Complete routine reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and relay observations related to security-related conditions, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
