About The Position

Allied Universal Security Services is seeking to fill the position of a Security Officer with an active DOD Secret Clearance or higher in Plymouth, MA. This is a part-time flex position with hours available on Friday - Sunday (8a.m. - 4p.m. / 4p.m. - Midnight / Midnight - 8a.m.) or Monday - Thursday (Midnight - 8a.m.). The role offers a starting rate of $26.13/hour with paid orientation. As a Cleared Security Officer, you will be entrusted with sensitive information and responsible for protecting classified information and personnel. You will receive specialized training in site-specific security protocols associated with your clearance level, allowing for skill development and professional growth in the security field.

Requirements

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Must possess a Department of Defense (DoD) position appropriate level security clearance (national security eligibility determinations take into account a person's stability, trustworthiness, reliability, discretion, character, honesty, and judgment)
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site
• Prior military experience
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites

Nice To Haves

• Prior Law Enforcement / Military experience encouraged
• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience
• Associate's degree or higher In Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information
• Greet guests and employees and escorts visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and oral communication to client and/or other security personnel
• Respond to and assesses security alarms or emergency alarms
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations
