About The Position

As a Security Officer Checkpoint Screening in Delray Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will help monitor access points, screen visitors and belongings, and support a professional, welcoming environment. This role combines strong observation, communication, and customer service while helping to identify and report security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and authorized personnel by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for a government location.
  • Screen people, bags, packages, and other items at designated entry points using assigned screening equipment and/or manual inspection procedures in accordance with post orders.
  • Verify identification, credentials, and access authorization for visitors and staff, and help to deter unauthorized entry by following established access control protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, prohibited item discoveries, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related concerns, observations, and/or unusual activity according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular observation of entrances, screening areas, and nearby assigned locations, and communicate with supervisors and/or site contacts regarding security-related issues or operational needs.
