About The Position

As a Security Officer Checkpoint Screening in Delray Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will help monitor access points, screen visitors and belongings, and support a professional, welcoming environment. This role combines strong observation, communication, and customer service while helping to identify and report security-related concerns. Requirements

Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and authorized personnel by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for a government location.
Screen people, bags, packages, and other items at designated entry points using assigned screening equipment and/or manual inspection procedures in accordance with post orders.
Verify identification, credentials, and access authorization for visitors and staff, and help to deter unauthorized entry by following established access control protocols.
Respond to incidents, prohibited item discoveries, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related concerns, observations, and/or unusual activity according to site procedures.
Conduct regular observation of entrances, screening areas, and nearby assigned locations, and communicate with supervisors and/or site contacts regarding security-related issues or operational needs.
