About The Position

As a Security Officer - Checkpoint Screening in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a dynamic tech location, where you will monitor entry points, screen visitors and team members, and support access control while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will help discourage security-related incidents through a visible, professional presence. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies at a technology-focused location.
  • Screen and verify identification, credentials, packages, and/or personal items as required for entry, while documenting irregularities and referring concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Monitor assigned entry points and screening equipment, observe activity for unusual behavior or unauthorized access attempts, and help to deter policy violations through visible presence and professional interaction.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting conditions that may impact operations and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
