Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a dynamic cruise operations location, where you will help support security-related screening activities, monitor assigned access points, and assist with routine patrols. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a busy cruise operations location.
  • Screen passengers, visitors, crew members, and/or personal items in accordance with post procedures and access requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, prohibited item findings, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while reporting security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor entry points, verify access credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the terminal, boarding areas, and perimeter as directed, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
