Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site protocols, documenting activity and reporting unusual findings through appropriate channels.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or public emergency responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, lobbies, production areas, and/or perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized activity and support security-related policies.
  • Monitor cameras, screening equipment, and/or badge access systems, communicate clearly with site personnel, and help to deter policy violations through visible presence and professional interaction.
