Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and/or authorization, maintain visitor and delivery logs, and help to deter unauthorized entry into the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured doors, and other security-related concerns.
• Support a respectful and professional environment by communicating clearly with residents, guests, and staff while following post orders and access control protocols.
