Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific access control procedures and responding to questions related to entry requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
• Document visitor, contractor, and/or delivery activity, issue temporary access credentials as directed, and maintain accurate access records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, including access points, parking areas, and receiving or shipping areas where applicable.
