As a Security Officer Roving Patrol Associate in Wilmington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an educational setting.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with campus contacts and/or public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, common spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and activity across the location, assisting with visitor directions, reporting policy concerns, and supporting a professional environment for daily campus operations.
• Assist with incident reporting, preliminary investigations, and follow-up communication related to security-related concerns, policy violations, and/or emergency situations.
