Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observed conditions, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, public areas, parking locations, roadways, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces while assisting with access control, visitor direction, and/or crowd management during routine operations and special events.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and unusual observations in required reports, and communicate with site contacts, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related matters.
