About The Position

As a Security Officer Campus Patrol in Plainfield, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer patrolling a dynamic food and beverage location, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a team that puts people first and brings innovative solutions to every shift.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and report maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior according to site protocols.
• Support facility operations by observing truck traffic, delivery areas, and high-activity zones, helping to maintain orderly movement of people and/or vehicles while following post orders.
