Requirements

A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions taken.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office, data, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and support badge control and entry procedures for employees, contractors, and guests.
Support day-to-day operations at a technology-focused location by communicating with site contacts, reporting maintenance or life system concerns, and following post orders and Allied Universal protocols.
