Join Allied Universal at a dynamic educational location as an unarmed driving patrol officer, conducting routine patrols, staying visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities across the location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including contacting campus personnel and/or public emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe campus activity to help to deter trespassing, policy violations, and/or disruptions to daily operations.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and/or concerns, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, staff, and/or local responders as appropriate.
