Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. You will support daily operations through teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach while adapting to the needs of the location with agility, reliability, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing updates with property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, corridors, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter access points to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, common areas, and/or vacant spaces within the location, helping to verify authorized access, support property rules, and address questions or concerns from occupants and guests.
  • Complete routine reports related to patrol activity, incidents, and/or daily operations, while communicating clearly with tenants, visitors, property representatives, and Allied Universal team members.
