As a Security Officer Building Access Control in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic tech and telecom location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access awareness, deliver outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and help to support orderly communication with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, offices, access points, and perimeter areas to help to identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and designated areas, verify authorized access as directed by site procedures, and document daily activities, observations, and/or incident details in required reports.
