About The Position

As a Security Officer Building Access Control in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and remain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property location.
• Respond to incidents, property concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter access points to help identify unusual activity and/or maintenance-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas, helping to control access, observe on-site activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Support daily operations by completing assigned reports, providing directions and assistance to occupants and guests, and following post orders related to after-hours access, deliveries, and/or property rules.
