As a Security Officer Building Access Control in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help support restricted area control in accordance with post instructions.
• Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and help support emergency response activities and continuity of operations at the location.
