Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies at a cultural institution location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, public areas, entrances, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for maintenance or security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry points, visitor flow, and/or restricted areas while assisting with directions, answering questions, and documenting security-related incidents or observations.
• Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including communicating with site contacts, assisting with crowd management, and following post orders during evacuations and/or other urgent events.
