As a Security Officer Building Access Control in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access awareness while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be able to lift up to 20 lbs preferred.
• Have access control or badge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor access points, assist with visitor and contractor entry procedures, and report security-related issues, hazards, and/or suspicious activity to property management or appropriate contacts.
• Support daily operations at a commercial real estate location by maintaining a visible presence, providing directions and assistance, and completing assigned reports and/or logs.
