As a Security Officer Building Access Badge Verification Patrol in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors and staff. You will communicate clearly, use technology to document activity, and contribute to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
  • Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, collection areas, offices, public spaces, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity; assist with maintaining orderly access and adherence to location policies.
  • Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
