As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication throughout the location. Requirements

  • Ability to ride a bike is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public-facing municipal location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with supervisors and/or local public services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, public areas, and/or restricted locations, offering directions and assistance to visitors, employees, and community members while reporting suspicious behavior and policy violations.
  • Support daily operations by completing incident reports, maintaining awareness of surroundings, and following post orders and allied Universal standards for an unarmed patrol assignment.
