Requirements

• Must be able to ride a bike.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, following security-related policies, and/or assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify conditions that may need attention.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assist visitors and staff with directions or questions, and/or report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations.
• Support daily location operations by maintaining a visible presence, completing routine logs and reports, and/or communicating with local contacts and Allied Universal management as needed.
