Helping prevent theft, damage and safety risks for our patrons is a great part in creating a secure environment for the communities we serve. We're looking for an employee to protect our organization’s facilities. You will be responsible for patrolling our facilities and detecting unauthorized activities. Security guard tasks include maintaining an awareness of the environment and ensuring the safety of employees and visitors. As a security guard, you must also be in good physical shape since you will spend a lot of time on your feet, walking around, observing, and assessing situations. High attention to detail is required as you need to respond to emergency situations and emergency calls.

Requirements

Must possess a current BSIS Guard Card
Must possess a current BSIS Baton Permit
Must possess a current Pepper Spray Certification
Must possess a current CPR or First Aid Certification
Must possess a current California Driver's License with 3 years of a clean record.
Must have reliable transportation
2 Years of Security experience
Ability to ride a bicycle without assistance
Ability to read, write, understand and carry out written orders, policies, procedures, and instructions.
Demonstrate a positive attitude, outstanding customer service skills, and take initiative in completing assigned tasks.
Willing to accept shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime if needed.
Friendly and professional demeanor
Able to pass a drug test and background check
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Previous security experience working as a Bike Patrol officer is preferred, minimum of one year.
1 Year of Bike Patrol security experience (Preferred)
1 Year of B.I.D. Security Experience (Preferred)
1 Year minimum of Customer Service experience

Responsibilities

Possess and maintaining a valid State Guard Registration (guard card)
Conduct bicycle patrols, alone and or with a partner.
Patrol and maintain general security of assigned property as described in site specific Post Orders.
Utilize a smart phone or similar device to maintain a Daily Activity Report and create Incident and Facility Maintenance Reports.
Maintain consistent performance, attendance, uniform appearance, and professional grooming.
Maintain professional communications with clients and colleagues.
Respond to emergency calls including medical, fire and damage to property.
