As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Rover in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with supervisors and/or designated campus contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, check for irregular conditions, and report maintenance concerns, access issues, and/or suspicious behavior according to site protocols.
  • Support campus operations during events, peak class hours, and after-hours periods by helping with access control, directions, and other security-related assistance based on location needs.
