About The Position

As a Security Officer Bike Patrol in Pasadena, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this active role, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while helping create a welcoming environment for everyone on site.

Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be able to ride a bike.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
Pepper spray certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or supervisors.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, public areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and assigned areas for compliance with site rules, offering directions and assistance while addressing security-related issues with professionalism and courtesy.
Support daily operations by communicating clearly with staff, visitors, law enforcement, and/or emergency personnel when needed, while completing required reports and activity logs.
