Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic educational location. You will conduct routine foot and bicycle patrols, monitor access points, help to deter incidents through a visible presence, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. This active role may include lifting items over 20 pounds and requires clear communication, teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach to security-related support.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, parking areas, and surrounding grounds to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical calls, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Control access to designated facilities and assist with visitor inquiries, directions, and reporting requirements in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and campus representatives.
