As a Security Officer Badge Verification in Lacey, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a busy retail distribution location, you will monitor entry and exit activity, verify badges and credentials, support routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and professional interactions. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, associates, and drivers by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, issue visitor access as directed, and report unusual activity or access concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with professionalism, document security-related events, and communicate with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and support security-related operations.
