About The Position

As a Security Officer Badge Verification Driver in Georgetown, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic food and beverage location as a driving access control officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols that help to deter security-related incidents. You will stay visible, support a welcoming environment, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific access control procedures, screening protocols, and other security-related policies at the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, issue visitor passes when required, and document arrivals, departures, and/or deliveries in accordance with post instructions.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report conditions to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by observing people, vehicles, and/or restricted areas, communicating clearly with site personnel, and following escalation procedures when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, gates, parking areas, and/or processing or warehouse access points, noting security-related concerns and changing conditions at the location.
