About The Position

As a Security Officer - Badge Verification in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a dynamic tech location, helping to monitor entry points, screen visitors and team members, and support access control activities. In this customer-facing role, you will provide outstanding communication and customer service while helping with security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries entering the location, verify credentials and authorizations, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating observations related to security-related concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, lobbies, screening areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and identify hazards, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious activity.
  • Support visitor management and front-entry operations by providing directions, monitoring screening equipment, following post orders, and assisting with site-specific procedures for restricted or sensitive areas.
