About The Position

As a Security Officer Badge Desk Specialist in Carlstadt, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Control access at entry and exit points by checking credentials, processing visitors and deliveries, and documenting arrivals and departures for a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor gates, docks, and other restricted areas to help support authorized access, report unusual activity, and respond to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including the building perimeter, parking areas, trailer lots, and shipping and receiving zones, as conditions vary by site.
  • Communicate with site contacts, transportation personnel, and Allied Universal leadership regarding access issues, policy questions, incidents, and/or operational concerns.
