Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, screening visitors, verifying credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity at the location.
  • Monitor access points, gates, and/or lobbies to help support authorized entry for employees, contractors, and visitors within a manufacturing and industrial environment.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and restricted areas to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and other security-related concerns.
  • Assist with vehicle and delivery traffic control, maintain required logs and reports, and follow Allied Universal post orders and client-directed protocols.
