About The Position

As a Security Officer Badge Control in Laredo, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic tech location, where you will help monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, support visitor processing, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Ability to speak, read, and write fluent Spanish is required.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, badge verification steps, and other security-related policies at a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor check-in activities, and help to deter unauthorized access in accordance with post orders and location protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to supervisors, onsite contacts, and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, lobby areas, and perimeter, noting unusual activity, access control concerns, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
  • Document daily activities, visitor interactions, and/or incident details in required logs and reports, while supporting assigned security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
