Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess a current armed guard card and/or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and document observations according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, athletic spaces, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entry points, check credentials when required, and report policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate school or Allied Universal contacts.
• Support arrival, dismissal, special events, and after-hours activities by helping with access control, traffic direction, and visible presence across the location.
