As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Detail in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a sensitive aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to post orders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, badges, and/or vehicle authorizations to help support controlled entry to designated areas.
• Maintain readiness to carry assigned equipment and follow all armed post directives, while communicating clearly with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and/or first responders as needed.
