Requirements

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all persons at the location by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities related to a technology infrastructure environment.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or public emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, data and communications areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support visitor, vendor, and/or contractor processing in accordance with post orders and other security-related procedures.
  • Perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site requirements, maintaining professional readiness and appropriate handling of security-related incidents.
