As an Armed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, staff, and visitors through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • An armed guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas while verifying access permissions and reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Serve in an armed post in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site requirements, maintaining professionalism and preparedness during routine duties and/or emergency situations.
