As a Armed Security Officer in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • An armed guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or designated personnel when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, verifying access permissions and documenting security-related incidents, observations, and/or unusual conditions.
  • Support emergency response activities, de-escalation efforts, and coordination with site contacts and/or law enforcement in accordance with post orders and assigned responsibilities.
