About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a healthcare location in Lutz, Florida. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security concerns. The role supports patients, visitors, and staff through customer service and clear communication while upholding Allied Universal’s values.

The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and pays $17.75 per hour.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following site-specific procedures, healthcare facility policies, and emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations, requesting additional assistance as needed.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with company policies, applicable laws, licensing requirements, and site procedures.
• Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
