Requirements

  • Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to people at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence consistent with post orders and applicable laws.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate with supervisors, local officials, and/or first responders regarding incidents, observations, and follow-up actions.
